Is a match score a guarantee?
No. A score is an estimate built from published requirements, past residents and your profile. We show the reasons behind it so you can judge it yourself, and we never promise an interview or a match.
How is the score calculated?
First we remove programs that can't take you, such as visa or graduation-year mismatches. Then each remaining program gets a weighted score from your Step 2 CK, IMG friendliness, country and school ties, USCE fit and more, and lands in reach, target or safer.
Why is a program hidden from my list?
It failed a hard filter, such as not sponsoring your visa. You can show excluded programs at any time, and each one lists the reason.
Where does the program data come from?
Public sources such as the ACGME program list, NRMP reports and program websites, plus our own calls and emails to programs. Every field shows its source and the date we checked it.
How current is the data?
Fields that change often, like program directors, visa policy and cutoffs, are re-verified every year from May to July, before ERAS opens. Stale fields are flagged.
Something looks wrong. What do I do?
Every program page has a correction button. We check it against the source and update the record.
Which specialties do you cover?
Internal Medicine first, with categorical, preliminary and primary-care tracks listed separately. Family Medicine is next, and its five signals are already planned in.
How much is a season pass?
Between $15 and $49 for one specialty, depending on the country your card was issued in. It's one payment for the whole ERAS season.
Do I pay every month?
No. A season pass is one payment for the whole ERAS cycle. If you reapply next year, you buy a new pass.
How do you decide my price?
By the country your payment card was issued in, checked against your location. If the two don't match, the higher band applies.
How many signals do I get?
For the 2027 ERAS season, Internal Medicine applicants get 3 gold and 12 silver signals, and Family Medicine applicants get 5. We store the rules per specialty per season, because they change.
Do you decide my signals for me?
We suggest them and explain why, but you can change anything. The planner warns you about common mistakes, like signaling a program that filters you out.
What happens to my scores and visa details?
They're used to build your list and nothing else. We don't sell data. You can export or delete everything from your account at any time.
Are you affiliated with NRMP, AAMC or ECFMG?
No. ResidencyPilot is independent. MATCH and ERAS are trademarks of their owners and appear here only to describe the process.
